    Assure MIMIX 10.0.13    

    Announcement

    Precisely announces the release of Assure MIMIX 10.0.13.00. This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from all previous release levels of Assure MIMIX 10.0 and 9.0.

    Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Assure MIMIX.  Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated ReadMe document. 

    How to Download and Activate the Assure MIMIX Software

    To access the software and license tools, you must have a Precisely (Customer or Partner) Community account established and have license entitlement.

    Run the Install Wizard on a Windows PC to install the software and apply license keys.  Other options to install and apply license keys are documented in the Using License Manager manual.

    *Note:  Assure iOptimize files are available in the Assure MIMIX download folders.  Assure MIMIX 10.0.12 download folder contains the latest iOptimize files.

    Summary of Feature Additions or Changes

    ·       ATTENTION!  Product-Level Security (PLS) is now required to be enabled for License Manager (LAKEVIEW library) and Assure MIMIX (all installation libraries).

    o   See the Assure MIMIX 10.0.13.00 ReadMe for details.

    o   When enabled, all users MUST be appropriately enrolled in PLS.

    o   License Manager is a shared component with other Precisely Products   (Assure iTERA, Assure iOptimize, Assure Security and Connect CDC) and the installation of the 10.0.13 (or higher) License Manager will affect all of these products if installed.

    ·       ATTENTION!  All MIMIX product libraries, and the LAKEVIEW library, will be changed to have their public authority set to *EXCLUDE.   See associated links:

    ·       New error summary view for Work with File Entries

    ·       Additional Work with Recovery improvements

    ·       The documentation for Assure MIMIX DR version 10.0 has been removed from the Support site.  Instead, please refer to the standard Assure MIMIX documentation on the Support site.

    ·       Container cache cleanup (KEEPMMXDTA parameter in system definitions now allows 0 days) enhancements allow for reduced impact of MIMIX on the temporary storage of a system.

    ·       There are 17 fixes in this release.
