  • 1.  Add the name of the originator in an email template

    Hello,

I'm creating an email template to notify external users from Evolve and I would like to indicate in it the name of the user that created the process.

The problem is that I don't know how to call the complete name of the user that created the process (like I'm doing for the process name). Could some one help on it?

Here is the template I started to create and the missing reference to the user that created the process.

    Thanks!

    Hi Skander

Nice you are customizing an email template.  I have done the same.  Simply use the field you have created in your solution.  Here is an example I have.  Use the Square brackets around a promoted solution property.

The following activity has been assigned to you.

Business Partner process: [SolutionFormName]  for BP Number: [BPNumber] Name: [Name_1_of_organization]
    Region/State: [RegionState]  Country: [Country_Key]
    Type of Partner: [flagCustomerOrSupplier]

Please review the request and provide your comments and disposition.

    Process Name: [$Process.Name]

    Activity Name: [$Activity.Name]

    Due Date: [$Activity.DueDate]

If you don't already have a solution field with originator/submitter, you can use a rule on the originating view, like:

    Then promote Submitter

then use [Submitter] in the email template.

    Hope that helps,

    Sigrid

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Ok I did this for other fields in fact. I thought that for the Originator user there is a standard solution field as for the process name (i.e [$Process.Name]).

I will proceed with this method to add the Originator name in the email template.

Thanks a lot for your support!

    Regards,
