  • 1.  Experience Mass Changes on S4 Hana

    dear all,
    I hope it is ok to post this question here.

    We are in the process of migrating to SAP S4 Hana (2020) on premise coming from ECC6.
    I am told our hardware specification exceeds much more than the requirements of SAP.

    Running Mass Changes on S4 (compared to ECC exactly the same data) is much slower (approx. 7 times!) than on ECC.
    (for example changing the Distribution Chain Specific Status for materials).
    (both with Studio12.1 and Studio20.2)

    We did some analysis on S4 and see much more data being processed in the database and so processing time 
    on application level increases.

    I would like to know if you have experienced similar issues and... solution direction if you know?

    Hi Ed,
    Sorry you're experiencing slowness in S4 compared to ECC.  We have not heard this type of difference, both internally and with customers.  I'd suggest you reach out to support to see if they can get you some assistance.
