    Hi Sarah

Yes, use the standard Hotlink functions. Here you will need to store the path and filename of the image in a field/column. Hotlinking works with any recognised file extension, so it could just as easily be a pdf, xls, doc, url, etc.

I think Sarah is first of all looking for a tool that can create points from geotagget images.

Once this table has been created, the Hotlink tool is definitely the tool to use to open the individual images by clicking on the points in the map.

@Tim Mashford? shared a tool for this on MapInfo-L seven years ago.

    1. Download and unzip the attached zip file
    2. Download and unzip ExifTool from http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
    3. Rename the file 'ExifTool(-k).exe' to 'ExifTool.exe' i.e. remove the (-k) from the filename
    4. Run the MB_ExifTool in MapInfo Pro

Find the thread here on MapInfo-L: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/mapinfo-l/m1Efvupteds/VU9VW42MbHsJ
