  • 1.  Conversion of Symbol to Polygon

    Good afternoon,  do you know if there is anyway of changing symbols on a layer in to polygons at all. I have been asked to convert data currently shown as a Tree symbol into a polygon ellipse bringing over all the data from the background table.

    How about buffering the table?  You can use the table - buffer option in MapInfo to create a polygon around your points and this will keep the attribute information, as well.

    And if you have a radius of the crown of the tree, then you could generate different size buffers from that column in the database.
