Hello together !
We're using SAP ECC 6.0 and a short time ago we brought the latest Stacks into our SAP-System. 
One of the things the've update where to block the outdated RFC_ReAD_TABLE like the told the Users a long time ago.
After this every Time, we use the different folders we crate DUMPS in our SAP-System.
The Updating of our Data run as well.

We checked the latest versions of everything from Winshuttle, but nothing changed.
Is there anyone who is able to help, or is there anyone who has the same Problem ?​

A snippet:"The SDTX refers to the function group of RFC_READ_TABLE - it is the remote enabled FM - that internally calls standard rfm VIEW_AUTHORITY_CHECK same as SE16 via SAPGUI. So it means that we are respecting the SAPGUI SE16 access allowed for that user."

Also the doc Authorizations required:  https://docs.winshuttle.com/studio-en-20-0-online-help-studio-with-evolve-studio-manager/authorizations-required-sap.htm   You can run an authorization check in Studio, as well - click  Account then Authorization Check.

i've already opend an Support ticket, but by now they have no answer.
Yes, You're right ... we have not all Authorisations (find out by check), but than can't be the Problem, because we became the Problems whith the dumps after we have updated our SAP-System whith support stacks.
In the last stacks SAP changed the RFC_READ_TABLE what they have told to the Customers a long time ago.
So it has to be the communication between SAP ECC 6.0 whith Winshuttle.

Hi Stefan

Support will be your best source for authorizations.

They other thing to check may be SAP GUI version.  Since you've upgraded your stack, here is a link to the SAP GUI versions supported with each Winshuttle version.  You might also double check the SAP GUI patch level of the people using Winshuttle Studio:  https://support.winshuttle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023688031-Which-Sap-Gui-Versions-Are-Supported-by-Winshuttle-

Hi, das haben wir auch alles durchgemacht. Die Skripte sind a vorher auch gelaufen, also konnte es nicht an den Berechtigungen liegen. Trotz der Erweiterung der Berechtigungen blieb das Problem bestehen. Nun hat man uns einen "Pre-Build" zur Verfügung gestellt, der erzeugt zwar keine Dumps mehr (liegt also an Winshuttle bzw. den Support Stacks in Kombination) allerdings lässt sich der nur als Localadmin,bei uns, ausführen und ist so nicht praktikabel da sämtliche Skripte / Templates ja im normalen Userverzeichnis liegen. Abgesehen von den anderen Anwendern die mit der Runnerlizenz arbeiten, für die ist das gar nicht tragbar.

Hallo Matthias,

genau das Gleich möchte man von uns auch. wir haben aber eine Serverfarm, wo Studio aufgespielt ist und da nutzen wir keine Beta-Versionen.
Die User nutzen, wie bei Euch, die von mir gebauten Templates und haben mit sonst nix zu tun. deren Werkzeug ist Excel und auch sie haben die Templates in deren Userverzeichnissen.
Unsere SAP-Basis ist über die ständigen Dumps nicht erfreut. Ein Hinweis von SAP sagt, das liegt an der veralteten RFC_READ_TABLE und schon ewig abgekündigt.

Welche Lösung habt Ihr für das Problem ?

Hallo Stefan, das gilt auch für uns, die "Beta Version" ist eigentlich keine Option, zwar erzeugt die keine Dumps allerdings haben die Winshuttle Entwickler den Hinweis gegeben, diese nicht in einer produktiven Umgebung einzusetzen. Daran halten wir uns aus Sicherheitsgründen, abgesehen davon das es völlig unpraktikabel ist. Was ich aber viel trauriger finde ist, dass man die Anwender so veralbert, wenn das Problem schon so lange bekannt ist fühl ich mich schon veräppelt, wenn ich die Berechtigungen anpassen soll, eine Version installieren soll, die wissentlich keine Abhilfe schafft und das Ganze dann schon über 5 Wochen geht. Das ärgert mich ein wenig.

i've already opend an Support ticket, but by now they have no answer.
Yes, You're right ... we have not all Authorisations (find out by check), but than can't be the Problem, because we became the Problems whith the dumps after we have updated our SAP-System whith support stacks.
In the last stacks SAP changed the RFC_READ_TABLE what they have told to the Customers a long time ago.
So it has to be the communication between SAP ECC 6.0 whith Winshuttle.

One of the things the've update where to block the outdated RFC_ReAD_TABLE like the told the Users a long time ago.
After this every Time, we use the different folders we crate DUMPS in our SAP-System.
The Updating of our Data run as well.

We checked the latest versions of everything from Winshuttle, but nothing changed.
Is there anyone who is able to help, or is there anyone who has the same Problem ?​

Trotz der Erweiterung der Berechtigungen blieb das Problem bestehen. Nun hat man uns einen "Pre-Build" zur Verfügung gestellt, der erzeugt zwar keine Dumps mehr (liegt also an Winshuttle bzw. den Support Stacks in Kombination) allerdings lässt sich der nur als Localadmin,bei uns, ausführen und ist so nicht praktikabel da sämtliche Skripte / Templates ja im normalen Userverzeichnis liegen. Abgesehen von den anderen Anwendern die mit der Runnerlizenz arbeiten, für die ist das gar nicht tragbar.

So ist es auch bei uns, wir dachten am Anfang es wäre nur ein Problem bei den Queries, dann hat sich  herausgestellt es ist bei jeder Nutzung von Winshuttle. Und auch bei uns springt die Basis IT im Dreieck, weil es Dumps hagelt. Wundert mich ehrlich gesagt auch, dass bisher nur wir 2 das Problem haben der sind die Einzigen die es hier im Forum posten...

Aber schön zu lesen es gibt da draußen im WWW noch jemand der ein Problem damit hat. Ich dachte erst es wäre ein Problem von SAP bzw. von uns da wir ja die Stacks eingespielt haben. Anfangs wurde uns auch geraten ein Supportfall bei SAP zu öffnen, das wäre natürlich eher peinlich geworden.

Ich denke man sollte mal mit der GF von Winshuttle reden.

Bei uns scheint es das Problem zu geben, das ein Wert der eigentlich 2 Digit's groß ist "DE" in ein Feld kopiert werden muss der nun nur noch "D" ist.

Wir haben ein Ticket eröffnet und das scheint sich etwas schwieriger zu gestalten. Laut Winshuttle kommt am 20 Dezember ein Release welches dem Problem Herr werden soll.

Hi, hehe unfortunately my german is better then my english, at least i hope so. The problem is a knowen SAP Problem (Winshuttle Problem i would say) There is since 07/21 a Note from SAP that the RFC Connection has changed and after an SAP Update/ Release Stack) Winshuttle produced Dumps, while using or starting winshuttle.  We wonder that we where guided to the same procedure then usual if you report a "error" despite the fact, that winshuttle should have been aware that this problem will come to the table if the updates where placed in the SAP System. It was reported that we updated the latest Stacks, and the error occured.....so in the END Winshuttle is still not "UpToDate" since 07/21 it's a bit disapointing for a software which is SAP Certified and the customers where recommended to open a support case with SAP. That would have been very ridiculous if it turned out at the end, that winshuttle is the problem, coz it's not updated properly regarding the timeframe since 07/21. 

Sidenote: The forum support is amazing and i appreciate it very much. The people are very supportive and quick it's a pleasure to get help from here.

From doing some internal research, this issue occurs when SAP Basis 740 was upgraded to SP Stack 26.  Support & engineering have worked on this issue and have provided a test build, which fixed the issue.  They are planning to have a dot release available in December.

Please continue to work with Support, as needed.

Hi, hehe unfortunately my german is better then my english, at least i hope so. The problem is a knowen SAP Problem (Winshuttle Problem i would say) There is since 07/21 a Note from SAP that the RFC Connection has changed and after an SAP Update/ Release Stack) Winshuttle produced Dumps, while using or starting winshuttle.  We wonder that we where guided to the same procedure then usual if you report a "error" despite the fact, that winshuttle should have been aware that this problem will come to the table if the updates where placed in the SAP System. It was reported that we updated the latest Stacks, and the error occured.....so in the END Winshuttle is still not "UpToDate" since 07/21 it's a bit disapointing for a software which is SAP Certified and the customers where recommended to open a support case with SAP. That would have been very ridiculous if it turned out at the end, that winshuttle is the problem, coz it's not updated properly regarding the timeframe since 07/21. 

Sidenote: The forum support is amazing and i appreciate it very much. The people are very supportive and quick it's a pleasure to get help from here.

Hallo Stefan, wir haben das gleiche Problem.


Bei uns scheint es das Problem zu geben, das ein Wert der eigentlich 2 Digit's groß ist "DE" in ein Feld kopiert werden muss der nun nur noch "D" ist.

Wir haben ein Ticket eröffnet und das scheint sich etwas schwieriger zu gestalten. Laut Winshuttle kommt am 20 Dezember ein Release welches dem Problem Herr werden soll.

Hello together !
We're using SAP ECC 6.0 and a short time ago we brought the latest Stacks into our SAP-System.
One of the things the've update where to block the outdated RFC_ReAD_TABLE like the told the Users a long time ago.
After this every Time, we use the different folders we crate DUMPS in our SAP-System.
The Updating of our Data run as well.

We checked the latest versions of everything from Winshuttle, but nothing changed.
Is there anyone who is able to help, or is there anyone who has the same Problem ?​
