Data360 Govern

I have a request from the business to implement a greater level of control around who in the business is able to export metadata from Data360.

Currently all users can export any asset, regardless of the user type or the asset type. The only limit is the number of rows they can export.

The requirement would be to have the ability use have a setting on the user / groups / configuration / responsibility - somewhere... where we could define that say a group of "None Product Manager" (e.g. everyone who isn't a product manager) wouldn't be able to download a list of "Products" from Data360.

Being able to define between list export and relationship export would also be very helpful as we may want users to be able to download lists of things from the grid but export relationships between Product and Clients (for example) might be a relationship we don't what we make easy to export.

Now that's a cool feature but its really not around exporting its around policy management and what one can do with the underlying data. It would require a robust classification and tagging engine typically applied (but not always) at the business level and then having to traverse the related (technical assets) to ensure that a policy applies to the core and related assets. Not an easy task but policy management is something that would be a huge feature and also could act as a platform for masking data, retention and other actionable events based on policy......interesting and gets my vote :-)
