    Hi
I'm trying to compare 2 elevation based rasters to produce a 3rd raster showing the elevation differences between them.  Can this be done and if so how?
    Many thanks

Hi @simon luckett thanks for your question. Yes, this calculation can definitely be performed in MapInfo Pro, use the Raster Calculator to subtract one layer from the other and the resulting output is a new raster layer.

Here's an article that describes how to use the Calculator, also there is a section in this video (starting around 1 min mark) that walks through the process. Enjoy!

    Thanks, Ashley

    Hi Simon,

Another Raster Processing tool of MapInfo Pro Advanced that could be useful is the Volume tool.
This will allow you to calculate the volume difference between the two rasters.

Thank you Peter.  I'm due to use the volume tool for the first time shortly so good to know it does exactly what I'm after.
    Best regards
    Simon
