The street index map functionality was in the Map Shop tool available in the Mapinfo/Discover 2015 32bit bundle.

This functionality has not been brought across into the standalone Mapinfo v16 64bit or later versions.

    Hi Reniel,

Just to confirm Mapinfo/Discover bundle is now being supported and sold by Datamine rather than PB.

You can still find a tool for creating vector grids in MapInfo Pro. It's called Grid Maker.

It can create grids like the one you can see here below

?Thanks Peter. All I can see is Map Grid? Is this what you're referring to?

    Map Grid

It appears that I cannot label the grids with an alphanumeric system as you have done?

Can you refer me to any further information about using this tool please?

    No, that's a different feature.

You can find the tool in the Tools window on the HOME tab

Click on the Load Tool button marked with a red circle.

    Grid Maker

Now find the tool on the Running tab and double click on it to run it.

Specify the settings etc for your grid. Make sure to keep the Select Area from Map checked if you want to select the coverage area for the grid from a map window.

And do make sure to set the coordinate system - it defaults to Lat/Long.

    Grid Maker dialog

Hit OK and select the area from the map using the tool you have been "handed".

The dialog now shows again for you to finetune the settings.
