  • 1.  Downloading updates from Digital River - forbidden access

    Hi

    I am unable to access downloads from orders in Digital River.

    I'm trying to get v17.0.2, as well as the Bing patch (to make sure it works for clients), and after ordering them I click on the download link (below) to be told  "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access ........."

    This also happens when I go to the "findmyorder.com" link.

    Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know how to fix it?

    ​Does this mean you never get to the screen where you enter your e-store credentials?

    I had to log into the e-store to put the order through, then I got the page that showed the completed order with the green download buttons. Nothing else. When I click on the green button it says "forbidden".

    Caroline,

    You might be experiencing a server caching issue unique to your corporate VPN and the Digital River site, which causes a delay in the availability of the product to download for a short period of time.

    The options are these:

    1. Allow the server cache to synch within their VPN; return to the same order after 12pm today via www.findmyorder.com and re-attempt the download.
    2. Log off of yourr VPN which is generating the firewall/server synch issue and attempt the estore link again.

    Thanks Andrei, I am not aware that I have a VPN, only a laptop connected to the internet.

    Which time zone would the 12pm need to be? It's not working yet, 14:18 UK time

    Hi Caroline, I had the same problem on monday but for the "Spectrum™ Technology Platform 12.2.1 S05 Product Update ". I lodged a support request and they just sent me an Amazon link instead.
