Hi Bryce
MapInfo Pro v2019 added support for all the line styles and all the hatch patterns that you can use in the map window.
If you are using an older version of MapInfo Pro, you can do this is a couple of ways:
1. Use the Add Legend option to create automatic legends for your layers
2. Draw your boxes or frames in a separate map window using a separate table. Afterwards you can insert this map in a new frame in the layout.

It appears we are now limited to one Border or Line Style in layouts - a solid line. How can we create boxes or frames in our layout with the same style options as we have in our maps?
