What software applications enable the new use cases for Location Intelligence, and where are they being deployed (Desktop, SaaS, server, APIs, Cloud)? What challenges are there?

With our big data products, we can do address standardization, geocoding, routing, and spatial analysis right in a customer's big data environment...no need to pull the data out of the lake to enrich it.

GeoEnrichment datasets are prebuilt address data with the pbKey and are deployed in any database environment

GeoEnrichment data is also used in Big Data too Dave!

Applications should be focused on openness, about freeing the GIS (#FreeYourGis) people to focus on data orchestration rather than the technology. That is very much the approach we take with our technology, with SSA, LIM and the LI Data/Solution all focused on scalability, flexibility – with our technology doesn’t matter where its hosted, what matters is that we give you the ability to effectively manage your spatial data (cleansing, enrichment, integration, orchestration, security, currency, etc...)

@Frederick Norman? GeoEnrichment is great in Hadoop. With everything linked to a pbKey, lookups can be easy and fast.

@Andrew S DAndilly? Definitely. Geocoding is another great example. You can consume it in the Spectrum Platform, as a Java SDK, as a REST API, in Hadoop, from MapInfo Pro, or many other ways.

We have traditionally deployed within a server based environment as it allows instant hands on control of our digital assets. However, moving forward we're going to look into moving to cloud based solutions to alleviate some of the pain that comes with purchasing costly hosting infrastructure.

Our largest challenge is convincing multiple different databases, hosted in several locations to speak to one another. If our PB solution could grow to accommodate more types of databases like Filemaker it would help tremendously. Also our execs love their Mac computers & some native integration would be sublime in lieu of virtual enviornments.

Whether you are an End User, Administrator or a Developer, experience is critical to any success you have. Providing the right capabilities to the right user persona will enable you to meet business objectives. Whether is giving the end user greater control to personalise their experience, or enabling the administrator to build Unique interactions without the need to touch one line of code. But sometimes the application doesn’t meet the full business requirement, having the ability to enhance the application using something like, SSA Extensibility, enables developers to build custom modules, means you can fit the application to your business, not fit your business to the application

    Good point, @Andy d'Andilly?.

For any GIS power user I'd say being able to automate script some of your daily tasks is essential.

This can be done in many ways with our portfolio. MapInfo Pro allows you to record and replay via the MapBasic window, via workspaces and via MapBasic applications and even via .NET.

With Spectrum you can create flows in the Enterprise Designer and now SSA also allows you to create automated tasks via the Extensibility Platform.

@Corey Graft? Other than Filemaker, what databases and server environments are you using?
