  • 1.  Enterprise Designer in the browser?

    Hi All,

    I know that a new Enterprise Designer which works in a browser is on the roadmap. I just wonder what the difference/limitations are when working in a browser environment? I know that you can not use the right mouse button for the application as the browser uses it. Are there additional technological constraints?

    And most importantly, when will the new Enterprise Designer will be coming and will it get a new name?

    Hi Marcus,

    Yes; the team has begun working on the next generation of ​Enterprise Designer. It will be a browser-based app and will be named Flow Designer. We are working to have the first release of Flow Designer available with Spectrum 2019.1, in Oct. 

    Flow Designer will be built using PB's Design System. I'm tagging @Eric Robinson from the UX team to elaborate on the differences with a web application.

    Sounds interesting!
    I am also wondering if in the web browser we'll be able to drag\modify the connections and how the validations errors might be displayed.
