    The following is from a cheat sheet I developed for our use and so the drive letter/folders should be customised to your use.

    Download latest versions - software and patches/updates

     

    • Spectrum - http://support.pb.com/help/spectrum/ProductUpdateSummary/index.html#ProductUpdateSummary/source/SummaryTable-12.2.html
    • SSA - http://www.g1.com/Support/Products/proddetails.asp?id=1%2DMPQCL
    • Get updated licence key as it’s only valid 45 days in case update fails and fresh install is necessary (http://localhost:8888/managementconsole, “Export” the license and save the Spectrum.lic)

     

    Backups and Installers - C:\SSA_Backend and G:\ArchiveData\rollback

     

     

    A. Backup - shut down Spectrum and copy files from

    1. C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\Spectrum to G:\ArchiveData\rollback
      1. C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst to G:\ArchiveData\rollback

     

    B. Spectrum

    1. Backup Spectrum (Review code in C:\SSA_Backend\12.2\commands.txt file)

    Note this is simply using limrepo export

    1. Spectrum - Port 8888 (not default 8010)
      1. Install key file if running from new install (into C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\Spectrum\server\app\import)
      2. Test by going to http://localhost:8888/SpatialServerManager/#/namedResources/repository/view/
      3. If new spectrum install
        1. Delete the samples
        2. Reinstate backup (using cli -see #B1)
        3. Set Pool Size to 2x no of cores (32) - http://support.pb.com/help/spectrum/11.1/webhelp/en/Spatial/index.html#LIM/source/RemoteComponents/modifying_pool_size.html
        4. Set TileCache folder

     

    C. SSA

    1. Use connection http://localhost:8888
      1. Retain other defaults
      2. Test using http://localhost:8010/connect/analyst/mobile/#/main?

     

    E. If using a fresh install follow hacks below to restore previous settings otherwise skip

    1. Shut down Spectrum/SSA
      1. In C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\customerconfigurations\analyst
        1. Create a rollback folder
        2. Copy all files/folders into this folder (this is to restore if required)
      2. From G:\ArchiveData\rollback\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\customerconfigurations\analyst
        1. copy: config, theme and printtemplates folders
        2. paste into: C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\customerconfigurations\analyst and replace the files
        3. Note the .html files in C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\customerconfigurations\analyst\theme\infotemplates will no longer be used (from 12.1 to 12.2) but can be used to assist in the required re-coding.
      3. Restart Spectrum/SSA (from notification application)
      4. Old configs should load but data may not load map features unless you login -if this is not the default behavior you need to perform the following steps
        1. Add the “AnalystGuestRole” see the Spectrum / SSA detailed install MGM process
        2. Now in Admin console all relevant configs should have this role assigned (based on old settings)
        3. In Address and Routing upload the current address csv

     

    Double check settings for performance
