  • 1.  Excel import erroring due to Office 365 transition

    Our organization recently transitioned to Office 365 and I've noticed that when I want to ​bring in an excel file (.xlsx) for thematic mapping, it produces an error:


    The workaround apparently is bringing it in under the old .xls format.

    The version I'm currently using is 16.0.4...has this been fixed in more recent versions? Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Hi Chris, 

    It could be a driver issue.  

    It depends whether you have a 32 bit or a 64 bit version of Office installed. With the MapInfo Pro also installed, if you need to have both the Win32 and 64 versions of Access driver installed, there is a workaround from Microsoft, if need be, documented in our Install Guide. 

    Please see if it works for you.
