  • 1.  Virtual or Physical Server??

    Trying to find out if a physical server is better than a virtual server for Spectrum Spatial?
    Especially if the physical server has a dedicated graphics card.
    Or doesn't it matter?

    Hi John.  Most of our users host Spectrum Technology Platform and Spectrum Spatial Analyst on virtual machines.  It has been a long time since I've encountered anyone using dedicated physical servers for these applications.  We do not have a requirement for a graphics card on any Spectrum hosts. As for the architecture of the products, the images are generated in Spectrum or SSA, but they are ultimately displayed on the client machine via the web browser.  Thanks!
