Hi, the table for Company Code creation for Vendors is LFB1.  For Customers it is KNB1.  If you go to this link you can get a list of the tables in SAP.  http://www.system-overload.org/sap/tables-list.pdf

Hi Paul - it's not in T001, as you may have discovered.  Since it's config, this article on SAP is pointing to the change logs:  Company Code Creation Date    The change logs can be queried, but we don't have them turned on for config changes in our system, so I don't have a query to give you.  You might be able to find it in CDHDR and CDPOS.

    Hope that helps a little,
    Sigrid

Thanks Sigrid. That is partially helpful.

If I want to use the CDHDR table what Object Class value should I use? Is there anything else I need to know, in order to get the creation date of a company code?

    Hi Paul,

I think that you would use CDPOS to fetch the OBJECTCLAS value from CDPOS after putting the table name into the TABNAME field. You would then use the OBJECTCLAS value in CDHDR. However, I'm not getting any hits in my system for changes made to T001 so perhaps it won't show object creation date.

There is perhaps one other way and that is to use tables for transport management. In E071 you can find all transports for OBJ_NAME T001 and then you can put the transport numbers into E070. I would suggest that the transport with the earliest date would be the creation date of the company code but a BASIS expert might need to confirm this.

    Kind regards,

    Dave.

We have table logging turned on in our SAP system and systems folks have access to transaction SCU3.
For every table that's logged, we can see what changes were made.
I can use it to query table T001 and find the date a particular company code was created.    The transport is noted, and the entry will say Data record created.

    Date : MM/DD/YYYY User: ED1KXXXXXX
    Key Fields Function Fields, Changed
Time CoCode Field Name Old New
    17:01:25 COCD Data record created

    Hi again Paul,

Haven't forgotten about your request - just haven't had much time to research.  Most of my table/query experiments haven't worked.

Cathy posted the t-code to see the changes:  SCU3, and I used SQL trace to figure out what to fill in.   Choose Customizing Object/Table V_T880, give a date range, and the best view (IMHO) is ALV grid.  You can filter to find what you need.

    You'll see something like:
You could write a GUI script turn run this t-code and export the results to excel on your desktop.  You'll have to filter thru them to get to what you need, i.e. "new" or "created" vs old and deleted.

I was also looking at a table DBTABLOG in a Studio Query with these parameters  - also filled in this way because of what I saw in a SQL trace, however in my system, I'm getting a memory error.  The table name is not T001, as we would think, but V_T880 (which also works in the tcode SCU3) or T880.

Hope this gives you enough clues.  Again, we don't have logging active in our demo systems, so I've been searching thru historical data.

    Best Regards,
    Sigrid
