The best trick I've learned so far, is how to choose an operation in a Work Order or Task List when recording with transaction.

In the command box, type OBSE, and a pop-up will open. The object type will be 'O' and you just need to insert the operation number and press OK. That operation will be the first line.

I hope that by posting my question here it that the correct answer might be seen as a "Tip".

I need to extend a material master to a warehouse. It is quite obvious from relevant posts on how to change fields on a material master view if you have to scroll to be able to select the view.

However, it is not clear on how to extend a material master that already exist to a new view that you can only be selected by scrolling down in the selection window.

I am looking forward to a response.

If you need to do scroll down, try to use "page down" button, this usually is recorded...drag with mouse is not.
Then if you need to copy / extend many materials please take a look transaction MMCC
You can record also MMCC but only in GUI Scripting mode.

Hi,

 

I do not quite know is this trick, but tip for sure.

You might have noticed that some times not all fields are recorded in recording.

Meaning you are missing correct SAP field from mapping.

Tip is that you open expert view and create that field manually into mapping.

example from ta. VK12 conditions and scales.

When making the recording there, it did not get the KONM-KBETR at all or any of those fields from scales.

 

 

 

You get the correct Screen Field from SAP Technical Information (F1 the SAP field) then you create new line to WS (or copy some existing one) and change the Name of field to what you need into correct place (program-screen)
Like in picture KONM-KBETR(01) means that you are on line 01 of the Amount field in Scales.

​Don't rename 'promote to sharepoint' fields in your Composer solutions (after you've deployed the solution).  Every time you rename a 'promote to sharepoint' field in your solution, then redeploy, you are creating a new field in the main sharepoint list that exists for that solution.

It has been several years since I had to create a Winshuttle recording.  I am hoping you can help.  

I need to do a position/status change for a bunch of team members.  Moving them from one position to another.  I have created two recordings but neither seem to provide the output I need to show the excel format.  

The recording walks me through the steps but then when I clicked the Red X and the recording stopped, it is missing adding the position number.  How do I fix this?  

Here are the steps I took:

I selected Winshuttle Transaction
Clicked on New Transaction
Transaction Code:  PA40
Clicked on Go button
Selected our Production Environment
Entered my Password for SAP
Left the Title Alone:  Transaction Script for TCode  PA40
Did not fill anything else out and clicked Next button
It takes me to the PA40 screen and I began creating it
Once I was complete, I clicked on the Red X and waited for the recording to be done
Once the recording was done, then it told me the mapping wasn't done
This is where I am getting hung up, I think.  
I guess maybe I do not know how to map correctly

I receive an error message:  An error has occurred while creating log viewer entry.

An error has occured while loading Log viewer.
Erro:  Access to the path
'C:\Users\Default\Documents\Winshuttle\TRANSACTION\Log\jingram\'is denied.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
