MapInfo Pro v2019 is coming later this month!

Please join me in a #Webinar to help you get ready to use the exciting new features.

The webinar will be offered at two different times for the convenience of our customers around the world:

    November 19, 2019 – 11 am Eastern Time (GMT -5)   - Register here

    November 27, 2019 – 11 am AEDT (GMT +11)     - Register here

This release of MapInfo Pro has many significant enhancements:

SQL queries have been improved dramatically with new functions in the language and a completely new interface (don't worry, we left the old one there!)

    • SQL now supports aggregation of multiple columns, table alias, cross joins, and a limit to the number of records returned
    • Unsaved queries (e.g. query1, query2) can be used in SQL statements
    • Save SQL statements as favorites and see most recently run statements and run from drop down list
    • New "Select by Location" dialog makes spatial joins easy
    • New graphical interface to build and save queries
    • "IntelliSense" speeds up query-building with autocomplete, drop-down lists of values

The MapInfo Marketplace is now officially launched as a website to find and install apps that run with MapInfo Pro.

      Other features include:

    • The MapInfo Marketplace web page allows users to search for apps by category and get much more info compared to the "Tools" button in MapInfo Pro
    • One click installation from MapInfo Marketplace (compared to 10 clicks the old-fashioned way)
    • Automatic notifications of updates to apps
    • Apps from partners and customers such as the MapInfo Drone App that allows users to order drone imagery from MapInfo Pro

Major changes to Layouts to maximize the quality of published maps

    • All fill patterns and line styles for Layout shape objects (rectangles, ellipses, polylines and polygons, etc.)
    • Fully vectorized legends in the legend designer, output (i.e. Adobe Illustrator), and the Explorer window

Heat Maps in the standard version of MapInfo Pro (does not require MapInfo Pro Advanced)

    • Create powerful heat maps from point files to identify key areas of interest
    • Simple user interface with control over the level of detail in the hot spots

I look forward to seeing you in the webinars.
