    Calling all MapInfo Pro trainers!

During the last MapInfo Pro user forum we had some requests for training. Many of our partners offer trainings locally and this thread is meant as an avenue for any of our partners to 'advertise' their services in the forum.

So, if you conduct training for MapInfo Pro feel free to respond to this post and let the community know where you're located and any other pertinent info surrounding your trainings options.

    Hi Patrick,

doing trainings and workshops for MiPro & MapBasic in German and English language since 22 years in Germany (De/At/CH-Region) and whereever you want me to go  ;-)
Also doing workshops in PostgreSQL/PostGIS, - great backend for any GIS-Application nowadays.

By the way: currently trying to update my training manual to MiPro 2021 & Win 11 but found that my favourite screen-capture tool snagit isn't capable of coping with the rounded window corners of win 11, - even the snipping-tool of windows can't.
Does anybody know a good screenshot-tool that can handle these rounded corners?
Tried OpenSource ShareX, - it can handle the rounded corners but the pictures all get a fairly big white frame and so the content gets too much scaled down when inserting them into a document.
    Thanks for any hints.

I have been delivering MapInfo Pro training courses for 25+ years here in the UK and abroad.  Over the last 20 months that has all successfully been moved to online training, usually via Teams but sometimes as a hosted option too.  I see the future being a mixture of both onsite and online, as there are pros and cons to both options.

Traditionally this has been at Beginners, Intermediate and Expert levels, with the very occasional MapInfo SQL or RouteFinder course too. Further to this, as many of my clients have finally moved to Windows10 and pushed to upgrade, I have been doing a significant amount of 32 to 64 bit conversion training over the last 3 years.  This tends to be broken down into Basic user and Key user courses.

I also do a large amount of bespoke or 1-to-1 training/workshops for which online learning is perfect: client shares their screen and I walk them through their work, projects, set-up, processes, etc.

    Thanks Pat
Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I've been training folk in the ways of MapInfo.
Formed in 1982, CDR Group became a MapInfo Partner in the UK back in 1994!! and training hundreds of lovely MapInfo users ever since. Of course, nothing stands still for very long and our training courses have evolved over the decades. We have just updated our material for MapInfo v2021.
Our 2-day Foundation Course covers most aspects of the software for most users. We do run a 2-day Advanced Course as well for those who want to further advance their knowledge. We also run a 1-day Transition from 32-bit to 64-bit Course - a pre-requisite is that delegates can already use MapInfo.
Beyond the training, we are always available to offer advise on applying MapInfo to the user specific requirements/workplace. That may progress into a charged service for half a day, a full day or longer.
