  • 1.  MapInfo ProViewer v17.0.4 activation ?

    Hello,

    I am trying to install the MapInfo ProViewer from https://www.pbinsight.com/support/product-downloads/item/mapinfo-pro-viewer-v17.0.4 

    for read only but it seems I have to use a license for it ?

    Please, give me a short instruction for the activation of this MapInfo ProViewer.

    Hi Friedhold

    After installing MapInfo Pro, you should have two shortcuts in the MapInfo folder in your Start menu: MapInfo Pro and MapInfo Pro Viewer.
    If you use MapInfo Pro Viewer you don't need a license

    Do you see both shortcuts?

    I have installed with the steps anby and have only a MapInfo ProViewer item.

    One thing to try, that I found using this support article: Error starting MapInfo Pro Viewer: your subscription does not have any valid features

    Try to sign up for the needed free account here: https://signup.pitneybowes.com/signup/mipro
    And then try starting MapInfo Pro Viewer again.

    PS: Is there a specific reason why you didn't go for the newer MapInfo Pro v2019?

          is there another download link for the newer MapInfo ProViewer v2019 ?

    I am working with first steps on MapInfo Pro 2019 .

    Hi

    The MapInfo Pro v2019 installer also lets you install MapInfo Pro Viewer. We do not have a separate installer for MapInfo Pro Viewer. MapInfo Pro and MapInfo Pro Viewer is the same application that just gets started with different launch parameters.
