    Hi,
    My organisation currently uses MapInfo v16 and we are looking to upgrade to the latest version. I have been testing MapInfo v2019.3, the only problem i have encountered is when opening MapInfo our proxy login screen popup will display twice before the application opens fully.

    According to Here we would have to whitelist s3.amazonws.com for this popup to not display. Unfortunately our IT Security team won't allow the "s3.Amazonws.com" site to be whitelisted due to it being a large Cloud storage site with a lot of unknown content.

    Is there any way around this at all? Is there a specific url than can be whitelisted instead or a config file which can be edited to stop MapInfo from referencing back to this site when it first loads?

    Hi Andrew, 

    Can you try editing the startup options (Pro Tab > Options > Startup) and unselect "Display Welcome Window" to see if that helps. 

    Let me know how you go.

    Hi Matt,

    I tried unselecting "Display Welcome Window" in the Startup Options but the problem still persists.

    What I have discovered since, is that when I open MapInfo, and before the first proxy login screen appears, the MapInfo MarketPlace button and Quick Search Bar do not appear on the ribbon and the text "Untitled.wor - MapInfo Pro" is grey.

    After I enter my credentials into the first proxy login screen the MapInfo MarketPlace button will appear on the ribbon.

    Then the second proxy login screen appears, I my enter credentials then the Quick Search will appear on the ribbon.

    Then the third proxy login screen appears, I my enter credentials and the text "Untitled.wor - MapInfo Pro" changes from grey to white and MapInfo is now fully opened.

    In the Tool Manager if I untick the AutoLoad option for MapInfo MarketPlace and QuickSearch tools I am able to open MapInfo with no proxy login screens appearing.

    Are there specific URL's that need to be whitelisted for this to work correctly and not have to disable these in The Tool Manager?

    Hi Andrew,

    Have you tried to contact support? Engineering provided support with a document that goes over all URLs that are used in MapInfo.

    In case of Marketplace, you can try to whitelist these URLs:

    Hi Andrei,

    No, I haven't contacted support as yet, thought I'd try here first in case anyone else had experienced the same issues. Our IT protocols wont allow anything with an amazonaws.com in the URL to be whitelisted at all, so will see if whitelisting any of the others makes a difference.
