MapInfo Pro

Hello,

I am looking for a way to take a large dataset of polygon boundaries and convert them into polyline or line objects.  

The reason I ask is because when I convert the .TAB layer into geoJSON format, and I use that on top of a different base map, the events that I have tied to the base map layer are now all covered up by the new geoJSON layer (polygons) and therefore are unable to fire.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar issue or can help w/ maybe a Map Basic program that may be able to do what I am asking?

All,

I figured out my own problem. Inside MapInfo 17.0.3, you need to do the following steps:

1. open .TAB file of polygons
2. Make Layer Editable
3. Select all Polygons you wish to convert to Polylines
4. Under SPATIAL Tab -> Choose "Convert to Polylines" and MI Pro does it all for you.

Hopefully this may help someone else out down the road!

I created a Polyline boundary from a Polygon but now I want to go back the other way - create a polygon infill of the polyline boundary - however I am not sure how to do this? Do you know how to?

​Hi - so I figured it out - so you need to make the original layer editable then you go to:

Spatial
Regions - Convert to Regions - Then you can change the layer colours / translucency etc.
