  • 1.  Hi there, have any MapInfo Pro users seen this error before

See AttachmentThis is an error that sometimes pops up while accessing aerial photography via wms in our case from Spectrum Spatial.

The error requires that you restart MapInfo Pro, closing and reopening the layer doesn't fix the issue.

    cheers

This is in MIPro 15.2, but also happens in MIPro 16?

Oh yeah, I recognise that error, Peter.

It has been fixed. Have you installed the latest patch for v16.0?

I just checked. It should have been fixed in v16.0. Are you saying you are still seeing this in v16.0.2?

    Thanks for your feedback Peter,

Looks like MIPro needs to be updated on our Microsoft Remote app servers, i'll schedule in the upgrades to MIPro 16 with patch updates.

I've noticed it in my installation of discover 2016 as well, I was pretty sure I updated it though.

I'll go through and update everything to the latest releases and let you know.

    cheers

OK, if not we also have a workaround for v15.2.

You have to change the file extension for the two MIRasterHandler files in your MapInfo Pro installation folder.

Change the file extension from RHA til RHZ which will mean that MapInfo Pro will try these as a last option. This has proven to solve the problem.

    See Attachment

If you are running any version of 16.0, the issue should have been fixed.

    Hi Peter,

Ok I'll apply the file extension change until the updates are done.

Thanks, this will definitely help our end users.

    cheers?

    Hi @Peter Horsbøll Møller?

Do I need to apply the file extension change to 15.2.4??

    cheers

Well, you really should upgrade your 15.2.4 to 16.0.2 :-)

Until you do so, you should apply the file extension renaming.
