5) Software Packaging and Pricing
- 90% agreed that a version of MI Pro with common features at a lower price would be a good idea (more than Pro Viewer)
- Suggestion: keep it simple (don't create too many options)
6) Add visual workflow designer to MI Pro (suggested by Jim Stone)
- 10% currently using visual workflow tool such as FME
- 100% in favor of the idea
- Example from attendee: create a script that automates buffers around suburban shopping centers to get demographic data; visual workflow allows iterations of buffer size with ability to see changes on map until ideal size is determined
7) Digital Software Delivery
- Move "Tool Manager" to online - allows easier access to free MapBasic programs and more descriptions, ratings from users
- Many liked this idea but one person was concerned about security issues presented by allowing online access (high security government environment)
