Hi everyone,

I am trying to visualize LiDAR with the new version (v16) but after creating my .color files with the range of colours I want (user defined breaks table), it is giving me a blurry background which is not nice to check my topographic features. I played with light too but the problem seems to be the colour not being very clear. Any help appreciated!

It a setting in the map that tries to make your images look nice and smooth.

Go to Map Options, for example by right clicking on the map in the Explorer or Layer Control.

In the Map Options dialog make sure to select None in the Smooth Images dropdown

Hi Peter,

Doing what you mentioned is even worse as it is pixelated. Maybe I did not explain myself well. I find the graphics are not as clear as in previous versions before the modification of the tab and losing vertical mapper. I am not convinced by any of these resolutions and I played with hill shade already.

The image is your latest response, is that the display you are looking for?

Have a look at this article going thru some of the options for improving the rendering of the raster: Get on the Grid: Enhanced display quality with Underviews.

Maybe some of the new Underview options added lately is what you are looking for.
