  • 1.  Need New Field Type: Automatic timestamp

    Most modern databases have the ability to log when a record was updated with a timestamp field type. MapInfo needs this implemented for TAB files as well, so users can document what is happening with their data more easily.

    Generally speaking the data capture of MapInfo Pro could be improved.

    This is one of many suggestions.

    Others could be:

    • Time stamp on Create
    • Time stamp on Edit
    • Time stamp on Delete (?)
    • User who did Create
    • User who did Edit
    • User who did Delete
    • Picklist for data entry
    • ...
