  • 1.  Map Contest Submission - Maps for Fun - Toronto Bike Map!

Here's a map I created for the contest using only open source data and MapInfo v16.0.2.

It's a map of downtown Toronto and all the bike racks available to lock up your bicycle. I've also included the above ground bike parking lots as well as the underground bike lot.

I've attached a flat PDF as well as a screen shot of the workflow/layers. I tried to include various zoom levels to get a better idea of how much detail is available via open source.

    I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for your submission Steve! Very detailed and useful. To that point is this more of a 'Maps for Society' entry in that it could be very useful for citizens? I'll let you decide (you should be able to edit the tags) where it best fits, but was thinking we could get some very fun submissions (we'll see how creative our users get) and the competition could be tougher there. In any case good luck and we'll be in touch with any questions.

Happy to change the tag and title. Would you like me to move it into that thread as well?

    Cheers,

    S

The tag change (if you also remove the ‘maps for fun’ tag) should move it. LMK if you have any issues – I can do it as well for you if you are in agreement. Dave
