    How do you assign a unique color to each qualitative value in a single table (for example - each zip code gets its own color to differentiate between neighbors).

    One option for this - create a Thematic map, in Step 1 of 3 select the "Individual" type and then start with one of the templates "Region IndValue Qualitative". Complete the thematic and customise as required. These can be further adapted & then saved as a new template using "Save as Template" function on the Theme tab
