  • 1.  How to display "Layers" and "Tables" windows

My initial MapInfo window shows the "Explorer" and "Info" tab, but not "Layers" or "Tables". How do I show those two dialogs?

A quick way to display these windows is: Go to the Home ribbon > Tool Windows and expand. Here you'll find all the associated windows & sub-windows. Clicking on an option will display the window. Don't forget you can right-click on the window header and select how the window will behave/where it will be displayed (floating/dockable/tabbed).Window_Locations

Firstly please note that in the Ribbon interface, the previous Layer Control and Table List are dsiplayed in the Explorer panel rather than as their own dialogs or panels.

The contents of the Explorer window can be determined by going to the Pro tab, selecting Options and then selecting Explorer in the Window section.

    Håkan,

You can also find the Layers and Tables as stand-alone windows if you prefer that:

Personally, I do however prefer to use the Explorer window where they are embedded.
