I wanted to try out some of the capabilities of the Layout that we have added over the last couple of versions.
So here is a map showing the three user Group meetings I attended just before going on vacation.
Some hints on the Layout:
- The dark background is created using a rectangle that take up the entire page and has been given a black pattern.
- Notice the rotated texts in the map
- It's very easy to insert multiple images into the Layout now
- The circles and lines locating the images on the maps are Layout objects. They don't snap together like features in the map but the Smart Guide added in v17.0 makes it easy to put them close together.
- The Bing Roads map have been set to Grey Scale so that I doesn't get all the focus
- The Map Extents in the Overview Map have been created with the Map Extent feature from the WindowHelper tool.
