I have tended to use the "double-click" (old) process of accessing the Layer Properties dialog in the Layer Control. So I have tried to use the Layer Tools Ribbon but find that this is not presenting me with a better option. For example, all the Style options are greyed out until you hit the Apply Styles button (which isn't obvious). Why are they greyed out??
Hmmm - I don't think that is obvious @Peter HorsbΓΈll MΓΈller?. One for the Design Team perhaps. It is more obvious to use the swatch in front of the layer name in the Layer Control.
Also - there is a different colour picker for font colour on the Labels ribbon and it doesn't match the colours used everywhere else!?
Yes, but the Font COLOUR picker is a different ?tool and set of colours!
I agree, the Zoom Layering needs adding as a crucial element.
Right, the color pickers directly on the ribbon are different compared to the "classic" color pickers you see for instance in the Object Style dialogs
Indeed - and if your object is colour K13, you cannot match the label to the same colour K13, for example?.
This idea might be worth voting for, John:
