How can I place multiple labels on a polyline? I am creating a large map and labeling contour lines. MapInfo V16 64 bit only allows one label per line but on a 36x44 inch sheet I need labels to be more frequent.

    Hi Bruce

    MapInfo Pro only puts one label for each object.

    So to have multiple labels, you would have to split your polyline into multiple polylines.

    It a a good improvement idea to capture on the Ideas Portal that you can access via the shortcut in the menu bar above.

    Thanks Peter. Having problems splitting the polylines. This used to be quite easy in 32 bit version but I can't figure it out now. Can you explain how?

    Thanks. That works good for one line at a time. I was provided a old mbx called cookie98 that worked perfectly to make a subset. I did need to disaggregate the polylines so they could be individually labeled. I received the mbx from PB software support.

    In the Disaggregate dropdown on the SPATIAL tab, use the Disaggregate to Lines to split a polyline into individual line segments.

    Disaggregate to Lines

    Make sure to make the layer editable before you select the record(s) to disaggregate otherwise the element might be disabled.
