  • 1.  Getting an error message when trying to download from WFS server

I am getting the attached error message (its in danish) when downloading tables from the WFS server (https://arealinformation.miljoeportal.dk/gis/services/DAIdb/MapServer/WFSServer).

I have tried in both mapinfo 15 32 bit and mapinfo 16 64 bit with no luck. strangely it seems to work in QGIS.

When downloading, it works on the task for a while before the error message pops up. It does creates the xml and sometimes also the tab file, but the xml seems incomplete and the tabfile contains no data.

    Any ideas?

@Hakan Karlsson? or @Peter Horsbøll Møller? - think this one is for you! Would be great to get a translation to help other users too!

    Hi Pelle

Is it a specific layer from the service you have issues requesting?

I just tried accessing the service using this URL:

    https://arealinformation.miljoeportal.dk/gis/services/DAIdb/MapServer/WFSServer?service=WFS

Notice that I have removed the Request parameter (request=GetCapabilities&) from the URL as MapInfo Pro adds this itself and sometimes including this parameter gives some weird results.

I did successfully download the layer Fredede_Omr.

I guess you are aware that there is a list of services from Danmarks Miljæportal listed here: https://danmarksmiljoeportal.zendesk.com/hc/da/articles/360000230869-Arealinformation-Webservices-2018

I also tested that it works if you apply a Bounding Box filter and it does.

The error stated: The following error was send while trying to access the server: Den underlying connection was closed: A connection expected to be active was closed by the server. () The request has been cancelled. An error occured while processing the GML returned by the WFS server.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I needed to download the layer "BES_NATURTYPER" but got the error. I randomly tried a few other layers, but also received the same error. Today i tried to request the Fredede_Omr layer and it works. unfortunately I still get the error on the other layers.

I have tried the different url's listed on https://danmarksmiljoeportal.zendesk.com/hc/da/articles/360000230869-Arealinformation-Webservices-2018 and i have tried using "prefer version 1.0" but still no luck.

    Hi Pelle

I were able to extract fatures from the BES_NATURTYPER if I use a bounding box to limit the number of records.

If I try to download the entire layer, I get a timeout error.

    I'm using 16.0.2
