In ArcGIS there is a way to thematically map categorical values using many fields, e.g. identifying values based on health system and type of facility. Can you do that in MapInfo, instead of manually doing it prior to loading it into MapInfo?

I might need a bit more information on this one in order to get the right answer to you.

You can however in MapInfo Pro base a thematic on multiple columns by using the Expression dialog when selecting the field. In the Expression dialog, you can combine multiple columns into a single resulting value that you then can base your thematic on.

During the webinar one comment also mentioned bivariate thematics as another option. Read more about this feature here: https://customer.precisely.com/s/article/How-to-create-a-bi-variate-thematic-map-in-MapInfo-Pro?language=en_US

I might not have completely understood what you are looking for so if you don't feel you got a useful answer, please let us know.
