Our LI API's (locate.pitneybowes.com) has every country available in the world at a City & Postal Centroid level of positional accuracy. That is 251 Countries, Territories, Disputed Territories, Principalities and Islands. These are available on the "Standard" Plan. Think of this service as returning a geocode for the part of the address that is larger in geographic coverage than the street line i.e. Last line or City, State, ZIP in the US.

We also have every individual country geocoder available on the "Premium" plan. Some of these individual countries provide POIs and Address Points geocoding at best, and others will only provide a geocode for the centre of the street outside the the address. We have deployed the best we have available for each country. We produce 149 country geocoders (this number grows each quarter).

Here is the current list (in alphabetical order):

ALBANIA, ALGERIA, AMERICAN SAMOA, ANDORRA, ANGOLA, ARGENTINA, ARUBA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BAHAMAS, BAHRAIN, BARBADOS, BELGIUM, BELIZE, BENIN, BERMUDA, BOLIVIA, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, BOTSWANA, BRAZIL, BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, BULGARIA, BURKINA FASO, BURUNDI, CAMEROON, CANADA, CHILE, CHINA, COLOMBIA, CONGO (BRAZZAVILLE), COSTA RICA, CROATIA, CUBA, CYPRUS, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, DRC, ECUADOR, EGYPT, EL SALVADOR, ESTONIA, FINLAND, FRANCE, FRENCH GUYANA, GABON, GERMANY, GHANA, GIBRALTAR, GREECE, GUADELOUPE, GUAM, GUATEMALA, GUYANA, HONDURAS, HONG KONG, HUNGARY, ICELAND, INDIA, INDONESIA, IRAQ, IRELAND, ITALY, JAMAICA, JAPAN, JORDAN, KENYA, KOSOVO, KUWAIT, LATVIA, LEBANON, LESOTHO, LIECHTENSTEIN, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, MACAU, MACEDONIA, MALAWI, MALAYSIA, MALI, MALTA, MARSHALL ISLANDS, MARTINIQUE, MAURITANIA, MAURITIUS, MAYOTTE, MEXICO, MONACO, MONTENEGRO, MOROCCO, MOZAMBIQUE, NAMIBIA, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NICARAGUA, NIGER, NIGERIA, NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS, NORWAY, OMAN, PALAU, PANAMA, PARAGUAY, PERU, PHILIPPINES, POLAND, PORTUGAL, PUERTO RICO, QATAR, REUNION, ROMANIA, RUSSIA, RWANDA, SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS, SAN MARINO, SAUDI ARABIA, SENEGAL, SERBIA, SINGAPORE, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SURINAME, SWAZILAND, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN, TANZANIA, THAILAND, TOGO, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, TUNISIA, TURKEY, UAE, UGANDA, UKRAINE, UNITED KINGDOM, UNITED STATES, UNITED STATES MINOR OUTLYING ISLANDS, UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS, URUGUAY, VATICAN, VENEZUELA, VIETNAM, YEMEN, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE

@Michael Ashmore?, do we also have a description of what source we use for the individual countries? Tomtom, Navteq/Here, others?

Wow! Impressive list Mike. So since MapInfo Pro uses this API we get all that in Pro as well, correct?

Yes Dave. MI Pro has access to the entire list. Now in a small number of countries (like the US for instance) we have multiple options available in terms of "quality" of geocoding. What we do in the API is always make available the best in each country. And if that changes, which is does on a quarterly basis, we update the API to provide the new products.

For instance, I'm really pleased with how our "Master Location Data" (MLD) address point product is progressing in Canada - due for release when all geocoding updates are made on the 15th of the month following the end of a fiscal quarter - and so that will go up there shortly after the 15th. Customers wont need to do anything, we will just be giving them better geocoding match rate, few false positives and higher positional accuracy.
