    Is this information from this link still valid ? Is there a more precise time frame and a confirmation that MapInfo Proviewer will be available in 64bit format as well ?

    Sebastien, we're giving some thought to the best way to provide the "free viewer" capability for users. One idea is to make the Pro Viewer a subset of MapInfo Pro capabilities and offer it to users based on the number of licenses that they have on maintenance (MATS). What are your thoughts on this approach?

    My own thoughts are that it would be useful to keep it as a separate program.

    I work at a surveying - engineering - town planning company where only a small number of people need full licences; but there are several people who could/would find ProViewer of use (regarding GIS data for infrastructure in new housing subdivisions).
