The raster versions of VML are available as Colour, Background colour and Black & White geotiff files. Therefore, with geotiffs, you do not need to download separate tab files as they will be generated automatically by MapInfo. However, the Black & White version is only a 1-bit raster tile that does not display in MapInfo v16 without tweaking your settings:-
Temporarily disable the TIFF format for rendering via MapInfo Pro Advanced's Rasterhandler. This can be done by going to the Backstage, Options, MapInfo Pro Raster Preferences and selecting Raster Formats Tab.
Then for the Native Formats locate the GeoTiff Image format and uncheck the "Enable Display" check box.
Under the GDAL Formats locate "GeoTiff (*.tiff)" entry and uncheck the "Enable Display" checkbox.
Once done restart MIPro and then open these rasters again.
I tend to advise that there is no need to store all three versions anyway, as you can do a style override on your colour raster to display as greyscale and/or translucent.
