When we checked in your Environment, it looks good to me and it doesn't spin constantly and we are also improving the error handling in the current sprint . The URL only reflects the initial search - additional filters applied on the search page are kept in a session state. The types parameter is the Categories selected in the drop down box on the home page - when search is initiated from there, or the default categories when search is initiated from the header bar search. The f parameter is a flag used to determine if certain settings in the session state should revert to default.
