  • 1.  How do i generate a link to a Workflow?

    I am exporting data from Workflows.

     

    The workflow data, take action fields, users, the steps all are being exported to another system.

    I want to be able to allow a user to click a link and navigate to the catalogue with each workflow I export so that they can either close the workflow manually or check to see if anything has changed there. 

    Being able to link back to a workflow in the Govern catalogue for each exported workflow seems like something that should be possible.

     

    Every asset in the catalogue has a page for itself, is it possible to somehow create a link a workflow so if its clicked by the data steward who has permissions for that workflow it will take them to it, or maybe open up the Workflows page and the correct workflow will be selected for them?

    Hi Patrick,

    Your request is not unreasonable.  There are some updates to Workflow needed and addressing those are on the roadmap.  Currently a link to the details of a workflow is provided in any email that comes from a step in the workflow.  If it's a form activity a link to the form is in the corresponding email.  We are in the process throughout the application of moving from general Object IDs to UIDs.  Right now the URL to the workflow details contains the Workflow ID, which will be updated to use the UID.    Providing an export with that new URL with UID would be a part of that effort.   I will have our Support team open a ZenDesk for you so that you can keep up to date on when that work will be done.

    We have created Support ticket for above issue and we will communicate with that ticket regarding the update of work on that issue.
