  • 1.  Synonyms types as a parameter (multiple types of synonyms exist)

    Hello All,

    Up to now, we can provide "synonyms" to business assets. This "synonym" feature is not flexible by design in Data360. From our users feedbacks, there are multiple types of synonyms.

    Following our data governance principles, I propose then a feature request that gives the capability to propose to the user multiple "types" of synonyms (as only one type is existing today).

    Example:

    Business Term : Building

    Synonym layer

    1) Name: House; Type : word synonym 

    2) Name: Immeuble; Type : FR-Translate

    3) Name: Gebouw; Type : NL-Translate 

    4) Name: IMM; Type : Abbreviation

    In this example, we can see that if we associate a synonym to a "type", the user will be able to make the textual information more precise and easier for data governance.

    An editable synonym "type" will permit us to create here for example a dropdown list of 4 values that the user will be able to select in the front-end.
