Currently we have a number of lineage diagrams that contain a large number of second and third hand relationships.
These can total up to 200 relationships and therefore the lineage diagrams can take up to 3 minutes to render and Chrome displays a message about the website not responding a few times before the diagram actually loads.
Limiting to a single 1 massively reduces the amount of time taken to load the lineage diagrams and also much more control for the user to explore the "legs" of the diagram without having to expand everything regardless of any focus.
The ability to set the default hops per Diagram type and per Asset would be the ideal solution.
With technical assets like "System" being set to 1 for both Lineage and impact and Business assets with few relationship types being set to 3 or 4 hops
