    Hello Suniti,

Can you send me the screen prints of the fields what exactly you are looking into ?

    Suniti,

are you talking about the Descriptions for the Field Types? Because I have noticed this issue too. The Form Description field will impact what appears when a user hovers over the Field Name, but Display Description does not appear to do anything at all, which makes it hard to provide instructions to users on what is expected in free form fields.

    Justin, Suniti

Justin you are correct.  The Form Description is what displays in hover text over a field label when you are in edit mode, which is what mode you're in when you take an action.  The Display Description is what is supposed to display in hover text when you are in View mode.   For an action workflow you're in View mode when you're on the Workflow Items screen.   I do see that the Display Description is not showing on the Action fields.   I will take a look at that.   We're in the process of doing some redesign work on workflow so we can make sure that's included in the redesign.   Would it help you, in the short term, to add the Display Description on action fields to this screen?

Thanks Mandy. My use case is tied directly to the user impact during edit mode, so mods to the workflow monitoring wouldn't really address that. Appreciate the acknowledgement of the gap, will eagerly await the workflow revamp being worked on.
