    Hi,

I would like to have a list of all existing relationships in govern including relationship ID and the metadata which is behind that relationship (fields created as part of that relationship itself).

Which functions in analyze do I use best for this and is there a link to an example or instruction?

    Thank you,

    Christoph

    Hi Christoph,

You can use the HTTP node in Analyze to call the V2 Relationships API in Govern. For information about the API go to teh swagger page (Administration>Integration>API from the left nav menu) or check the information in Govern's help (https://governhelp.data3sixty.com/development/Default.htm#f-api/api-overview.htm).

GET /api/v2/relationships will provide you with a list of relationships. To get the custom fields defined in the relationship type you need to also provide the relationship type UID (e.g.: GET /api/v2/relationships?RelationshipTypeUid=<RelationshipTypeUID>)

    Thanks,

    Franco

    Hello Franco,

Is there any other way we can achieve this without using analyze?

    Thanks

    Hi Suniti,

Yes, you can call the API from any REST client.

    Thanks,

    Hi Franco

Is there any other way to do it? Can we include the relationships when we download data from Govern?

    Thanks

    Hi Marc,

You can export from the UI from the list grids. Keep in mind that the content of the export is not as comprehensive as to what you can get using the API. You can read more about exports here: https://governhelp.data3sixty.com/development/Default.htm#c-user-guide/exporting-assets.htm?Highlight=export

    Thanks,

    Franco

    Hi Marc,

You are able to download all active relationships from Govern using the Relationships screen under customisation.

This will let you export the subject and object UID and then you can lookup these ID in the Asset exports from any of the business or technical assets to give you all the meta-data available in Govern.

it is a 2 step process but it works really well.

You can automate this outside of Analyze by using the API endpoints as data source in Excel

Perfect, thanks that helps. Nice to have a few options to do this.
