    Hi

Is there a way to lock/password protect a node so that users will be able to run the node, but only certain users can edit the code if they have the password.

Would appreciate if anyone can help on this.

    Thanks

    Fahad

    Hello Fahad,

It is not currently possible to password-protect a node so that it cannot be edited without entering the password. We will be improving the Dataverse permission controls in a number of up-coming releases. One aspect will be the ability to support fine-grained controls over access to, and use of specific nodes. Write permissions to library nodes is one feature that we will investigate during this time.

If you are using one of the Dataverse Server editions, you can assign the 'Explorer' role to a user rather than the 'Designer' or 'Designer - Scheduler' role. Explorer users can execute a data flow and specify associated run-time properties to be used by the data flow, but they cannot edit the data flow itself.

    Best regards,

    Adrian
