  • 1.  How do I stop the server service (LAE Server as was)?

    Posted 09-01-2016 12:08

    Hi,

I have a node that was over-running (unsure why just yet), so I terminated it with the stop button. Now the data-flow is stuck (for hours) in Stopping mode with a spinning wheel. I conclude I should restart everything and start again, but I cannot delete the data-flow as its being processed + don't have the admin rights just now to stop the server process. I used to be able to exit the LAE Server from the task tray green dot.

    thanks

    Hi Steve,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've yet to implement some features that would help you get around this current issue in the beta.

In the meantime, you should be able to get around this issue by saving the current dataflow to a new instance, and then continuing your work in the new instance:

    Hi,

I am having the same problem in Dataverse v3.1.5.2590. When stopping a running node it can take 1-2 hours before the process actually stops and let's me continue working. Stopping the Java process and restarting Dataverse works, but is not a practical solution.

    Hi Dylan,

The previous report of this issue was on a pretty old version of Dataverse and has been addressed in later versions including the version you are using.  I will open a support ticket and take a look at what is going on.

    Thank you,
