    Hi,

    I can not start Dataverse.

    • restarted services/service in several combinations.
    • reinstalled (also with run as administrator and without)
    • tried chrome, edge, ie11 and firefox in each install
    • tried on other PC
    • download setup file again and tried whole steps above.
    • manually created "tmp" directory.

I know some of them does not make sense but i did anyway...

    Running out of options here.

Below I send the error and log of jetty service.

    Regards,

    Özgün

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue.  I have a few quick questions to try and trouble-shoot the problem.

    1. Were you ever able to run Dataverse?

    2. How many times did you reinstall?

    3. After uninstalling, did you verify that all files were removed from the previously installed location?

    4. Did you ever manually modify any of the installed files?

    5. Could you confirm that each of the services are running now?
Please Reference: starting and stopping the service

    Hi Joshua,

    1. No. I could not.
    2. I did not count but; it is not less than 10.
    3. Yes I checked if the main directory still exists.
    4. I did not.
    5. I stopped all 3, as I don't use them right now. But on each try, I checked the services are running.

    Thank you,

Thank you for these responses.  I forgot to ask, which version of the software are you trying to install?

    Hi  Özgün,

When the Dataverse services are started they are immediately shown as 'started' in the Windows Component Services application. However, in certain situations it can take some time for the services to start up to the point where the Dataverse application is ready to accept a connection request from the browser. Can you try starting the services and then waiting a few minutes before attempting to launch the web application.

    Regards,

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

I wait about 10 minutes then i try to go localhost:8080, after checking services are still running. Still same error.

    Thanks,

    Özgün

    Özgün,

I've created a support ticket for this issue.  We will reach out and try and setup a time where we can troubleshoot this issue further.

    Thanks,
