    Hello all,

     

    Today I soft launched SSA online. It's called Southwark Maps 2 and will eventually replace Southwark Maps which was our online version of Stratus Connect.

     

    Southwark Maps 2 can be found at https://geo.southwark.gov.uk/connect/analyst/mobile/#/main

    It’s similar to our internal SSA which in use since November 2016, except::

     

    • Has a slightly different banner
    • The banner is removed when viewed on smartphone
    • There are fewer print templates
    • The sign-on option has been removed
    • There are no data binds or bespoke queries
    • There are only two map configs to choose from (‘defaultmap’ and ‘with OSM and Bing Maps’)
    • Restricted datasets such as LLPG, OS AddressBase and land tilte polygons are not shown
    • Certain historic base maps are not included because of Landmark’s license restrictions

     

    At the moment it’s just a soft launch. I’ve not yet posted a bespoke help document and it’s not linked to from our website. All that will come in time.

    I'd very much welcome your thoughts on it.

    Great Work Stuart! How did you manage to get the historic base maps and Google Streetview links on the Map? Will it be possible for you to share Branding and info templates?

    Regarding the GSV the first step was to create a street network and combine into one clean line object in MI Pro. I used our Local Street Gazetteer. I've included the .tab file in the attached zip file.

     

    The next step is to create the HTML which I've included in the

    attached zip file. Note that I have replaced our Google key with ##############################.

     

    When added to SSA just associated the tab file with the template in Template Mapping.

      

    Regarding the historic maps, these were purchased from Landmark about 10 years ago. They were brought into Pro, uploaded as NamedMaps and then created as NamedTiles. They were then cached and published.
