Spectrum Spatial (SSA/LIM)

Hi Group - Its a little over 2 weeks to the next release of SSA (Minor Release). The next release 12.1. will have a number of benefits that will see enhancements to the user experience. Some of the highlights include:

- The User is able to edit Tab files from within SSA.

- The User can Multi-select from a single layer and display map information

- The User can access current map centre and extents within the settings menu

- The Users can continue to add or edit more records when in edit mode

- Plus a further 24 items enhanced, improved or fixed

I received the download email from Product Distribution Services (pbbi.pds@pb.com) on Friday 22nd. It says to download "Pitney Bowes Spectrum Technology Platform Software Release (v12.1.0 ) for the Windows Platform". Was that sent in error? Should I ignore it?

Hi Stuart,

That email was a link to the new platform version. SSA will not be released until the end of October. My suggestion is to keep hold of this download and install once you have received SSA 12.1.

Is it a requirement to upgrade to 12.1 Spectrum Spatial before the SSA upgrade to 12.1?

SSA 12.1 will require Spectrum 12.1. However, please don't install Spectrum 12.1 until you have SSA 12.1.

SSA 12.1 will be released this week.

Yes Spectrum 12.1 is a pre-requisite of SSA 12.1. Installing directly after each other will be fine, but if you install Spectrum 12.1 and wait to update SSA to version 12.1, SSA will stop working until you upgrade it.
