Hi there,

I seem to have come across an issue with labels not showing for layers unless you open a map overlay in a certain way.

To replicate this, load a map configuration with overlays that contains labels?.

Open the map overlay to show the layers with labels by selecting the box next to the overlay title and your labels should show if you are within the zoom setting for the labels. no issues...

Now turn of the map overlay and expand it by clicking on the title of the overlay to show the contents.

Now turn on any of the individual layers with labels using the box next to the layers and the labels don't appear...

You can even turn on all the layers within a map overlay and none of the labels will appear...

Hi Peter,

If I read you correctly, you might be having the same issue that I have. My workaround with the label issue in SSA12 is to turn on every layer in a map by turning on the box to the right of the map name. Then if I want to remove individual layers and/or their labels, I can do this by clicking against individual layers. It is weird, but I believe tech support are aware.

Hi Sean and Amita,

Yep that works fine for small map overlays but when you only need one or two layers from a large map overlay and really want those labels it becomes very cumbersome having to turn off the unneeded layers. Such as one of our district plan overlays has over twenty layers and that's after already breaking it out into smaller map overlays.
